Dr. Tondora will be on hand, along with the coaches from the Bikini Booty Club LA, and guest trainer and NPC champion, Jennifer Long, to answer questions and discuss how functional metabolic testing plays a key role in prevention, weight loss, and proper health. Have you tried to lose weight with “proper” diet and exercise and nothing seems to work? Do you or someone you know suffer from headaches, fatigue, bloating, ear infections, depression, ADD/ADHD, painful joints, congestion, acne, asthma, poor memory, or other chronic disease? The foods you are eating may very well be at the root of all your health problems. We’ll talk about various metabolic tests, proper nutrition & supplementation, exercise and weight training, and all things natural medicine.

Title: Yoga, Cancer & Healing: Exploring the Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Aspects of Cancer
Location: Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center 1500 Broadway Tacoma, WA 98402
Description: : “Yoga, Cancer and Healing” explores the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of cancer from a yogic perspective. By not applying the principles of yoga daily, both spiritually and emotionally, we bring about changes in our bodies on a physiological level that can set the stage for the development of cancer & chronic disease.
The objective of this seminar is to introduce the participants, medical practitioners, students, patients and the general public, to a new way of viewing cancer – the cause, development, treatment, and the language used by doctors and patients alike, by examining the principles and practice of yoga to achieve a new path to healing this disease. Ms. Susan B. Smith and I will present in tandem, giving the participants a view from both a medical and patient perspective on how to deal with this disease by reframing our awareness and attitude towards it. We will explore in detail, the language surrounding a diagnosis of cancer, comparing how the conventional medical philosophy of treatment focuses on forceful, combative language, and how we, as Naturopathic Physicians, can reframe this philosophy using the principles of yoga to embrace the healing power within.
